(*26 February 1361 - †16 August 1419)
Bohemian and Roman king who ruled on the Czech throne for 41 years; one of the greatest European patrons of his time. He was educated, well-read and fluent in foreign languages. He liked to take part in hunting expeditions. He made decisions more under the influence of emotion than prudence, and fled from government matters to the seclusion of his castles.
